My dogs are raised in my home, not in a kennel. Theyare a very important part of the family and are well-loved pets. For me, dogs aremy passion, and competing and spending time with my dogs is my enjoyment.
Most of my dogs are owner-handled in the conformation and all are in the performance ring. We are proud to say that our dogs are also assisting somevery talented Junior handlers to move up the ranks and become therapy and service dogs.
I aim to breed social, intelligent, happy, healthy MiniatureAustralian Shepherds who are a pleasure to live with as pets, show, working, and performance dogs. I take pride in producing highly trainable, fun-loving puppies with tons of attitude, workability, and showmanship. Competing in performance events and conformation ensures our dogsare well socialized and I understand their temperaments, drive, andabilities.
Health and longevity are also very important in my breedingprogram. I take great care to do what I can to ensure this is a priority whenbreeding my dogs. To do this we do full panel DNA disease testing, certifiedhips, elbows, patellas, and eyes. Doing this extensive testing helps us makechoices on what dogs will have the greatest chance of producing happy healthypuppies. We have also kept most of our dogs registered as both MiniatureAustralian Shepherds (MASCA) and Miniature American Shepherds (AKC) to allow usa greater diversity in the gene pool and have a broader range of dogs to beable to add to our program.
With the combination of health testing and competing inmultiple events, we are working towards our goal of producing the best qualityminis we possibly can.
