As active members of the Canadian Kennel Club, Canadian Mastiff Club, and the Mastiff Club of America, the Bendegeit team follows established codes of ethics and believes in transparent, honest communication with both fellow breeders and puppy-seeking families. Their dogs are cherished members of the family, known for their calm, regal demeanour, affectionate nature, and suitability as both companions and show prospects.
Health testing is a cornerstone of the Bendegeit program. Prospective breeding dogs undergo comprehensive evaluations for genetic and structural conditions, including eye exams, cardiac screening, orthopedic assessments, and DNA panels relevant to the breed. These measures provide breeders and new owners with confidence that puppies are given the strongest possible genetic start toward a long and healthy life.
Bendegeit breeds selectively, typically every 18 months to 2+ years, believing that breeding should only occur when it benefits the breed and the individual dogs involved. Litters are planned thoughtfully with lineage, temperament, and longevity in mind, and each puppy is placed with families who share a commitment to responsible care.
Whether participating in conformation, rally, or obedience competitions, or supporting owners as beloved family companions, Bendegeit Mastiffs fosters dogs that reflect careful breeding choices and a lifelong dedication to the well-being of the breed.
Responsible Breeders of Canada is part of the Paw Privileges Network, rewarding responsible breeders and owners for ethical, responsible breeding practices
