Ramah Kennels is a dedicated and highly experienced dog breeder with over 35 years of hands-on expertise in breeding, whelping, and canine care. As a Lifetime Member of the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC), Ramah is committed to maintaining the highest standards of ethical breeding and responsible dog ownership.

All dogs bred and owned by Ramah are fully registered and microchipped, ensuring traceability, accountability, and lifelong identification. In addition to CKC registration, select dogs are also registered with the American Kennel Club (AKC), particularly those that have competed in the United States or originate from U.S. bloodlines.

Health, transparency, and genetic responsibility are central to Ramah’s breeding program. Comprehensive health testing is conducted and openly shared through the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) database, reflecting a strong commitment to honesty and breed improvement. Ramah also utilizes Embark Breeder DNA testing, which provides an extensive range of genetic insights beyond standard OFA testing. This includes coat color prediction, roan genetics (Rr and RR), and key loci such as Brown, Red, and Agouti (Black & Tan), along with genetic solutions for conditions such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA).

For newer additions to the program, including her latest male, Ramah incorporates AKC DNA health testing protocols. These tests include screening for Chondrodystrophy with Intervertebral Disc Disease Risk Factor (CDDY with IVDD). Like many dogs within the breed, all of Ramah’s dogs carry an increased IVDD risk associated with CDDY—information that is openly disclosed and responsibly managed through informed breeding decisions.

Ramah’s extensive background also includes five years working as a Veterinary Assistant, providing her with a strong clinical foundation that complements her decades of breeding experience. For reproductive care and in the event of complications such as cesarean sections, she works closely with a trusted reproduction veterinarian who is also an experienced breeder.

With a focus on health, genetic integrity, and lifelong support, Ramah Hall continues to prioritize the well-being of every dog she breeds, while contributing responsibly to the future of the breed.
