Welcome to HeatherBee® Kennels, a long-established, Canadian Kennel
Club registered breeding program located in Qu’Appelle, Saskatchewan. With more than four decades of dedication to purebred dogs, HeatherBee is committed to preserving the integrity, temperament, and health of equally beloved breeds. HeatherBee® focuses on Scottish Heritage Breeds including Scottish Terriers, West Highland White Terriers, and Golden Retrievers.
With Heideland® the focus is on Miniature and Toy poodles of excellence .
Our Philosophy

Our breeding dogs are selected for:

Each pairing is carefully planned with a focus on maintaining breed
standards while producing dogs that thrive as companions, performance
partners, roles as assistive animals, or show prospects.
Our Breeds
Scottish Terriers
Dignified, loyal, and unmistakably iconic, Scotties are known for their
sturdy build and independent spirit. HeatherBee® Scottish Terriers are bred for correct type, stable temperament, and the distinctive character
that defines the breed. Health testing is a priority in our program.
West Highland White Terriers
Confident, spirited, and full of personality, Westies are bold little dogs with big hearts. HeatherBee® focuses on preserving their classic
structure, bright expression, and lively temperament while ensuring they
are well-suited for family life.
Golden Retrievers
Gentle, intelligent, and endlessly versatile, Golden Retrievers from
HeatherBee® are bred for soundness, trainability, and family
compatibility.
Whether as loving companions, sport partners, or working dogs, these
Goldens embody warmth and willingness. Goldens have an amazing
capacity for a deep and lasting bond with their people.
Miniature and Toy Poodles
HeatherBee® with Heideland® miniature and toy poodles do well in agility or sport performance, and our playful poodles have character and
intelligence with an off switch. They are healthy, balanced and resilient
family companions. We continue to have a keen interest in potential
therapy and service dogs. Poodles, because of their intelligence and
sensitivity, can be exceptional therapy dogs, trauma dogs, autism dogs,
psychiatric dogs and more. There are many factors that contribute
whether a dog can successfully, and happily, fulfill those roles!
How Our Puppies Are Raised
Puppies are raised in a home environment where they receive daily
interaction, handling, and early socialization. From an early age, they are
introduced to everyday household sounds, varied environments, and positive human engagement to build confidence and adaptability.
HeatherBee® places great importance on early development, ensuring
puppies grow into well-adjusted, resilient dogs ready to integrate smoothly into their new homes.
All puppies receive appropriate veterinary care prior to placement and
are placed in carefully selected homes that understand the
commitment of responsible dog ownership.
A Lifelong Commitment
HeatherBee® Kennels believes breeding is only the beginning of the
relationship. Ongoing support, education, and open communication are
